About this car
Hemmings listing in Astoria, NY. Offered on Hemmings in Astoria, NY.
What the photos show
- Paint is gone to primer and rust-brown patches across the bonnet and doors, so budget a full bare-metal repaint.
- Front wings are dented and cracked and the headlight buckets sit empty and rusty, so budget major panel and chrome work.
- There are no rear lights or bumpers fitted in the photos, so budget for missing parts, not just repairs.
- The soft-top frame is bare with no fabric at all, so budget a complete new top.
- The interior is stripped and rusted with split, torn seats, so budget a total retrim.
- The engine sits dusty under peeling bay paint, so budget a full mechanical rebuild until proven otherwise.
- Can't judge the underside from these photos, and on a project this rough that is where the biggest bill may be hiding.
Money: at $49,500 you are buying a full restoration project - the photos show paint, body, top, interior and mechanical money all still to spend.
