About this car
1961 190SL at Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria, NY. SOLD (description ask was $69,500). The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- All six photos are near-identical front and front three-quarter angles, so this gallery is padded — there is no rear, interior, engine or underside view at all
- The cream paint looks presentable but fairly flat, not deep-gloss, so a proper polish at least, and possibly paint correction money, should be allowed
- The white hardtop is fitted and looks tidy, but the soft top itself is never shown, so its cost can't be judged
- The chrome bumpers and grille look decent and mostly bright, so no big rechrome bill is obvious from the front
- The red interior is only glimpsed through the windows, so seat, dash and carpet condition can't be judged and those costs stay unknown
- I can't judge the engine bay, underside or rear bodywork, because none are shown in any photo
Money: At $69,500 sold, six copies of the same front view show a presentable hardtop car but prove almost nothing else — that thin coverage at this price is a warning, not a bargain signal.
