About this car
1987 300SL at David's Classic Cars in Marion, IL. The dealer publishes no price for this car, so the number has to come from a call. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- the one full-size photo shows a light blue SL with its hardtop fitted, front three-quarter, looking straight and glossy, so no obvious body repair shows
- light blue paint looks even across the hood and side, so no respray is obviously needed from this angle
- the car wears single rectangular headlights rather than US twin round lamps, so check the car's market specification and paperwork, as that affects value and parts
- the only other viewable image is a tiny thumbnail of a red later-generation SL, which is a completely different car and proves nothing here
- can't judge the seats, interior or dash, none are shown, so retrim and dash money are still possible
- can't judge the soft top, the engine bay or the underside, none are shown, so top, mechanical and rust money are all open
Money: no asking price is listed, and one exterior photo plus a thumbnail of a different model is no basis for a price, so verify the specification and get a full photo set first.
