1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

• Cream paint is smooth and glossy and the panels look straight, no paintwork needed.
• Chrome bumpers and grille are bright, no replating bill.
• The black soft top looks new inside and out, with a clean headliner and tidy bows, no top money to spend.
• Black seats and door cards look fresh and the dash paint and gauges are clean, no interior work needed.
• The engine bay shows twin Weber carburetors instead of the original Solexes, a common swap that drives fine but costs originality points with picky buyers.
• Underside photos show heavy undercoating with cracking and a few rust spots breaking through at the edges, so a closer rust inspection is money well spent.
• The chassis plate is photographed and legible, which helps verify the car.
• The lead photo's graphic promises a hard top, but no hardtop appears in the photos I saw, so I can't judge its condition.

Money: at $117,595 it photographs like a finished car, but the Weber swap and the cracking undercoat mean the discount against top 190SL money is justified.
