1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL

• the dark paint is glossy and reflective in the showroom, so no repaint bill shows in these photos
• the chrome grille and front bumper shine cleanly, so no re-chrome bill shows here
• the red seats look fresh, tight and unmarked, so no reupholster bill is needed here
• the dash looks clean, though the steering wheel is a wood-rimmed replacement style, so check originality before paying originality money
• the engine close-up looks dusty and aged with dull hoses and fittings, so budget for engine-bay detailing and perishables money
• can't judge the rear of the car — it is not shown in the sampled photos, so part of the bodywork price is unproven
• can't judge the soft top or hardtop — neither is shown in the sampled photos, so do not pay for top condition you cannot see
• can't judge the underside — it is not shown in the sampled photos, so do not pay for rust-free claims you cannot see

Money: at $70,406, with only 7 photos total, the showroom front and red interior look strong but the dusty bay and the unseen rear, tops and underside leave real money unaccounted for.
