1960 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

• the red paint is bright and glossy at a distance, but a close-up shows chipped, bubbling paint at a panel edge, so local paint and possible hidden corrosion money is coming
• the chrome and club badges on the front bumper are bright, no rechroming needed
• the tan seats are creased and worn-looking, usable as-is but a retrim is the upgrade spend
• the black soft top is up in one shot with a cloudy rear window, and the folded top's padding looks frayed and scorched at the edge in another, so top work should be budgeted
• the engine bay is dirty with loose wiring draped around, a sorting-and-tidying bill before it presents well
• the underside is the warning: thick cracked black coating, crusty corrosion on the frame rails and a rusty exhaust, so structural inspection money comes before purchase money

Money: at $89,500 this shiny red 190SL is priced like a sorted car, but the bubbling paint edge and crusty, coating-cracked underside say real money is hiding under the gloss.
