What the photos show
- these photos carry Beverly Hills Car Club's stock number and the car's California plate — this is the same dark blue 280SE Cabriolet as the dealer's own listing, at the same price
- dark blue paint is deep and glossy, no paintwork money needed
- chrome is bright all round, no rechrome bill
- cream soft top is taut with a clear rear window, no new top to buy
- cream leather seats, front and rear, look fresh and unmarked, no need to reupholster
- dash wood and gauges present cleanly, nothing to restore inside
- trunk floor is clean black metal with no rust showing, no repair to budget there
- engine bay is complete and honest rather than detailed, so budget a service and tidy, not a rebuild
- this gallery has no underside photo and none of the paperwork the dealer's gallery shows, so the floors and the car's repair history can't be judged from these photos
Money: at $169,950 the visible car needs no cosmetic spend, but this Hemmings gallery omits the underside and paperwork views that matter most on this particular car — judge it on the dealer's full photo set, not this one.
