About this car
Hemmings listing in Astoria, NY. Offered on Hemmings in Astoria, NY.
What the photos show
- pale paint is flat, faded and patchy with surface rust breaking through on the fenders, doors and running boards, so a full strip and repaint with metal work is unavoidable
- the front bumper is bent and the front fender is creased, so panel and chrome repair money is due on top of paint
- the cloth top is perished, peeling and split at the rear, so a complete new top is a certain cost
- green leather seats are cracked across the cushions, so a full retrim belongs in the budget
- the dash wood is dull and flaking and the cabin is filthy, so the whole interior needs restoration, not a clean
- the engine bay is rusty and dirty with the distributor cap off and plug leads missing, so the engine can't be judged a runner from the photos and a rebuild allowance is the safe assumption
- no underside photo is shown in the sampled photos, so the chassis and floors can't be judged from the photos
Money: at $67,500 this is an unrestored project needing paint, top, trim and engine work, so the ask leaves no room for the restoration the photos prove it needs.
