About this car
This 1966 200D is offered on eBay by beverlyhillscarclub in Los Angeles, CA. The asking price is $6,950. The car is finished in White, an automatic gearbox. The listing does not state a mileage. On a fintail, rust in the sills, floor pans and front wings is the usual concern.
What the photos show
- stock number, plate and photos match the Hemmings listing exactly - this is the same white 200D listed twice at the same price
- white paint looks flat, budget paint-prep money rather than expecting a shine
- driver seat is torn open, reupholstery money is unavoidable
- door bottoms show rust along the lower edge, budget door and sill repair money
- trunk floor is painted black with rust breaking through at the sides, budget trunk rust repair money
- engine bay has red hoses and loose wiring runs, budget sorting money in the bay
- the underside on the lift looks dry and solid with only surface rust on the exhaust and axle, no floor welding money obvious - the best news on this car
Money: at $6,950 the solid underside saves the big money, but seat, door-bottom and trunk rust still add up - fair as a project with those priced in.
