About this car
Sold on Bring a Trailer on October 2, 2026 for $116,000. The car is in North Hampton, NH. Its final price and sale date are recorded here as sold-price data, the same as a dealer's sold car. The full gallery and listing details come from the car's own auction page.
What the photos show
- red paint looks glossy and presentable in the outdoor photos with straight panels, so it looks good from a few steps back and needs no cosmetic repaint for driving
- a paint-gauge photo in the gallery reads about 37 mils, far thicker than normal paint, which points to heavy repaint or filler under the shine, so budget for body investigation before calling the paint good
- paint is chipped and cracked along the sill and door shut in the close interior photo, so sill repair and paint blending will cost money
- chrome bumpers and hubcaps look bright in the outdoor and barn photos with tidy whitewalls, so no re-chrome bill is suggested
- cream seats look worn, grubby and patinated with tired carpets and a dirty floor behind the seats, usable as-is, but a proper retrim and carpets would cost real money
- dash and wheel look complete and presentable in the cabin photos, no cracks obvious, so no dash restoration is suggested
- black soft top is only seen from a distance in a barn photo and the cream boot cover looks tidy, so top condition up close cannot be judged and could still hide a replacement cost
- underside looks black and greasy with surface rust on steering parts in the lift photo, no holes obvious, so expect cleaning and rustproofing costs rather than a clean bill
- engine bay as a whole is not shown in the sampled photos, only an extreme bolt close-up, so engine condition cannot be judged from these photos
- the huge gallery is heavily padded, the sample alone includes paperwork pages, a duplicate barn photo served twice, and one photo of a Ford pickup with Halloween skeletons and no Mercedes in it at all, so the photo count flatters the car
Money: at the $116,000 sold price this is driver money, not show money, the shine is real but the thick paint, cracked sills and tired interior explain why it made less than the restored 190SLs, so the discount looks earned rather than a bargain
