About this car
Sold on Bring a Trailer on September 1, 2026 for $70,500. The car is in Portland, OR. Its final price and sale date are recorded here as sold-price data, the same as a dealer's sold car. The full gallery and listing details come from the car's own auction page.
What the photos show
- Much of this 410-image gallery is paperwork, invoices and old restoration photos rather than photos of the car today, so the gallery count flatters the actual coverage
- The grey paint in the current side photos looks glossy and straight and the black soft top looks tidy, so no paint or top bill shows in the current shots
- The chrome bumpers and hubcaps look bright in the current photos, so no immediate rechrome cost is visible
- The red dash and carpets look clean and fresh, with a modern radio fitted, so the cabin presents well but is not fully original-spec, which matters to purist money
- The trunk is cleanly trimmed in red carpet with a spare fitted, so no trunk tidy-up cost shows
- The underside photos show flaking, peeling coating and surface rust on the floors plus an oily sump, so underside cleaning, resealing and leak work should be budgeted
- Old restoration photos in the gallery show a body in primer on stands and a panel with serious rust-through holes, so this car had major rust repaired in its past — worth knowing, even though those shots are not its condition today
- A separate hardtop is shown on a stand in a pale colour that does not match the body, so painting it to match would be extra money if that matters
- I can't judge the seats close-up or the engine bay from the sampled photos, so those costs stay unknown despite the huge gallery
Money: At $70,500 sold, the glossy current photos make this look like cheap 190SL money, but the peeling underside and the documented rust history in its own gallery explain why it did not bring top money.
