About this car
1970 280SL at Hyman Ltd in St. Louis, MO. Radiant Ivory with matching hardtop, beige leather, fastidiously restored, 4-speed automatic, Becker Europa. The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- The gallery is the same single studio shot at two sizes, gold paint with the hardtop on looks glossy and even, so no paint bill shows from this angle
- Chrome bumpers, grille and colour-matched hubcaps look bright and straight, no re-chroming cost visible
- Light seats are only glimpsed through the glass, so the seat faces and dash can't be judged here
- Can't judge the soft top, only the hardtop is shown, so a soft-top bill could still be hiding
- Can't judge the engine bay, no photo shows it, so its state adds no value here
- Can't judge the underside, no photo shows it, so hidden rust remains a possible cost
Money: No sold price is on file, and one exterior shot of a glossy gold hardtop car is thin evidence, so the visible condition only partly supports a strong result.
