About this car
1969 280SL at Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria, NY. The dealer's own page marks this car sold — it stays listed under the SOLD banner for reference and is left out of the price averages. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- gold-beige metallic paint is glossy and even from every angle, no paintwork needed
- dark hardtop is fitted and contrasts cleanly, panel fit looks good all round, no top cost visible
- chrome bumpers, grille and hubcaps shine bright, lights clear, no replating bill
- interior only seen through the glass looks dark and tidy, no damage visible from outside
- can't judge the seats and dash up close, no interior photo is included, so trim condition stays open
- can't judge the soft top, it is not shown at all, so whether it is present and usable stays open
- can't judge the engine bay, it is not shown, so mechanicals are unverified
- can't judge the underside, it is not shown, so Pagoda sill and floor rust stays the open question
Money: no sold price is on file, so value rests on the exterior alone — a very presentable hardtop Pagoda on photos, but with nothing inside, under the bonnet or underneath shown, the photos support good rather than top money.
