What the photos show
- Padded gallery: only one full-size photo shows the car for sale, a red 560SL top-down on a driveway — the other viewable images are tiny thumbnails of different SLs in other colours, so they prove nothing about this car.
- Red paint on the one full photo looks glossy and the body looks straight from the front three-quarter — no repaint bill visible from that single angle.
- Chrome grille and alloy wheels look presentable in that one photo, and the cream seats look intact from a distance — no chrome or seat bill visible, but it is too far to judge wear.
- Can't judge the interior or dash — no close cabin photos survived, only a distant top-down view, so seat and dash condition is unproven.
- Can't judge the engine bay — no engine photo in the viewable set, so engine condition is unproven.
- Can't judge the soft top — the car is shown top-down only, so top condition and leaks are unproven.
- Can't judge the underside — no underside photos, so rust underneath is unproven.
Money: At $21,000 you are paying on one driveway photo and a padded thumbnail gallery — do not pay full price until the seller sends real close photos of the cabin, engine, top and underside of the red car.
