1983 Mercedes-Benz 300SD

• cream two-tone paint looks clean and straight all round, no dents or rust are visible in the sampled shots, so no paint bill is obvious
• chrome grille and trim look bright, no rechroming bill is obvious
• tan seats look excellent front and rear, no tears or sagging seen, so no reupholstery bill is obvious
• dash top looks uncracked and the wood looks glossy, so no dash or wood bill is obvious
• engine bay looks complete and honest with light surface rust on the exhaust crossover pipe, so budget for a mechanical check rather than a cleanup
• the under-hood insulation pad is patchy and crumbling in one shot, so budget a small amount for a new pad
• tyres look fresh with deep tread in the close-up, so no tyre bill is due right away
• no underside photos were sampled, so you cannot judge the floors or sills from these shots

Money: one of the tidiest cars in this batch in the photos, with only a hood pad to fix — with no price listed, the underside is the last thing to check before valuing it
