What the photos show
- Grey paint looks glossy and straight in the dealer photos, no repaint needed on what is shown.
- Grey leather seats look clean and lightly worn, no need to reupholster.
- Dash, wood and console look excellent, and the owner's manual is shown in the glovebox, so no trim hunt is needed.
- A service book page is photographed with a 1985 dealer stamp, which supports the tidy cabin but is paperwork, not condition.
- Black soft top and the matching grey hardtop are both shown fitted and look clean, so no top spend is visible.
- The one underside shot shows a discoloured exhaust and grime, so budget a clean and a closer rust check.
- No engine bay is shown in the sampled photos, so I can't judge the engine — inspect before paying.
- Six of the sampled photos are not this car at all — other cars for sale and a logo — so the gallery is padded and those shots prove nothing about this SL.
Money: At $24,395 the car itself looks very tidy, but with no engine photo in the sample and a padded gallery, the ask should wait on an engine-bay look.
