About this car
Hemmings listing in Costa Mesa, CA. Offered on Hemmings in Costa Mesa, CA.
What the photos show
- champagne paint looks glossy and straight in the studio photos, no paint bill showing on what is shown
- burgundy leather seats, door cards and trunk carpet look fresh and unmarked, no retrim bill showing
- dash, burl wood console and gauges look clean and complete, no dash bill showing
- black soft top looks taut, but its plastic rear window looks cloudy and milky in the side close-up, so budget a window or top replacement
- the matching hardtop is shown on the car and its headliner looks clean, so no hardtop bill showing
- data and VIN plates are photographed and legible, which saves you verification money and hassle
- can't judge the engine bay — no engine photo in the sampled photos, so the mechanical side is unseen at this price
- can't judge the underside — no underside photo in the sampled photos, so I can't judge the floors or subframes
Money: at $79,995 — top money for a 560SL — the studio cosmetics fully support it, but the cloudy top window is a real bill and the unseen engine bay and underside still have to earn the rest.
