1972 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

• Bright red paint is glossy and even, and the early slim chrome bumpers look bright, so no paint or chrome bill showing.
• Black seats look excellent with no tears or sagging, so no reupholstery money needed.
• Dash looks clean and uncracked and the odometer reads 068667, so the cabin presents honestly.
• Trunk is clean and carpeted with no rust showing, so no trunk repair bill there.
• Red-painted hubcaps with whitewall tires look tidy, so no immediate wheel or tire spend.
• Underside is coated black, but the center muffler shows rust spots that look perforated, so budget exhaust work.
• Black soft top is fitted but its plastic windows look cloudy and wrinkled, so budget a top or window replacement.
• Red hardtop is shown fitted, matches the paint and its glass is clear, so that top is ready to use.
• Engine bay is not shown in the sampled photos, so I can't judge engine leaks or condition.
• Two sampled photos are dealer 'we buy classic SL' ad cards showing other cars, so the gallery is padded with advertising.

Money: At $12,950 the glossy paint and excellent black interior are strong for an early 450SL, with the exhaust and cloudy soft-top windows as the clear money items.
