What the photos show
- white paint is glossy in the showroom shots, no repaint bill showing here
- chrome grille, bumpers and European headlights look bright and complete, no re-chroming needed
- dark brown door cards are flat and unmarked, no trim work to pay for
- brown leather seats show only light creasing, no need to reupholster
- dash and Becker radio are clean and complete, the odometer photo is clear, no gauge work showing
- engine bay is tidy but not fully detailed, a professional detail is cheap money here
- small rust spots show by the data plate and inner panel edges, worth a closer look before paying top money
- can't judge the soft top, it is never shown up, so a new top could still be a bill
- can't judge the underside, no underside photos in the sample, so budget for an inspection
Money: at $235,000 the car presents very well inside and out, but the plate-area rust spots and the unseen top and underside keep it from being a pay-and-forget buy.
