1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL

• the silver paint is even and glossy all round, no paint correction money needed
• the black leather seats look plump and uncreased front and back of the cabin shots, no retrim needed
• the dash, wood and gauges are clean and complete, no interior parts hunt
• the trunk floor is painted black and looks solid and dry, no trunk repair on sight
• the engine bay is complete but used-looking, with a yellowed hose run and general grime, so budget a thorough detail and service, not cosmetics elsewhere
• the hardtop is shown fitted and the soft top is folded under its cover, but the soft-top fabric is never raised, so inspect it before counting it as an asset
• can't judge the underside — no underneath photo in the sampled set, so a lift check is still money well spent
• the photos are watermarked BHCC stock #18963, the same photo set as the dealer's own listing for this car, so you are pricing one car twice, not two

Money: at $96,500 the visible car is a clean silver Pagoda with a strong interior, and the asking matches its twin listing, so the only discount lever is the unshown soft top and underside.
