1974 Mercedes-Benz 240D

• White paint looks glossy, straight and even in the showroom views, so no respray bill showing.
• Chrome grille, bumpers and 240D badge look bright, so no rechroming spend.
• Blue seats, door panels and carpets look clean with no tears, so no reupholstery money needed.
• Blue dash looks uncracked and complete with its gauges and clock, so dash work can wait.
• Patchy, peeling insulation is visible on the firewall by the pedals, so budget a small interior tidy there.
• Underside photo shows thick black undercoating and a rusty-looking front bar, so get it on a lift before trusting the floors — hidden rust under coating is repair money.
• Steel wheels with painted hubcaps look tidy and tires look usable, so no immediate tire bill.
• Engine bay is only seen from a distance with the hood up, so I can't judge the diesel engine's leaks or condition up close.

Money: At $13,500 the clean paint and blue interior support the ask, but the coated underside with a rusty bar showing needs a lift inspection before the price is settled.
