About this car
Hemmings listing in Bridgeton, MO. 450SL project car; clean title; offered as-is; soft top only (no hardtop).
What the photos show
- Cream paint looks even and presentable, no repaint money needed for a driver
- The hood sits popped and uneven in the first photo, so check the latch and hinges before assuming panel-damage money
- The brown soft top fabric looks good but its rear window is cloudy and yellowed, a new window or a new top belongs in the budget
- Two-tone brown seats are faded and dirty but not torn, cleaning money first and a retrim only if cleaning fails
- Dash and door cards look complete, no interior parts hunt showing
- The odometer photo shows 99,798 miles, useful context at this price
- No engine bay photo is in the gallery, so I can't judge the engine bay
- No underside photo is in the gallery, so I can't judge the underside
Money: at $4,000 the visible car is a faded but complete 450SL — the cloudy top window is the proven spend, and the unseen engine bay is the risk you are pricing.
