About this car
This 1962 220SE Cabriolet is offered on eBay by monzacar in Sherman Oaks, CA. It is listed at auction: the current bid stood at $1 when the listing was collected on November 3, 2026, with bidding scheduled to end on November 4, 2026. The car is finished in Pewter over Red, a manual gearbox. The odometer shows 74,000 miles. On a W111, check the sills and floor pans for rust and make sure the chrome and interior trim are complete, as those parts are expensive to replace.
What the photos show
- light silver-grey paint is glossy with bright chrome grille, bumpers and hubcaps, no paint or chrome bill showing
- red leather seats look very good with no splits seen, no need to reupholster
- red dash and door cards match the seats and the dash wood is polished and glossy, no interior trim bill
- a modern aftermarket radio sits in the dash, originality money if you want a period Becker back in it
- black soft top fits well, but the rear window is cloudy and yellowed, budget a new window or top before judging it finished
- underside is only seen in low rear shots, dark floors and exhaust surface rust, no holes clear, but a lift check is still money well spent
- trunk holds the red top boot and a blue cover, so most of the trunk floor can't be judged
- the engine bay is not shown in any sampled photo, so the engine bay can't be judged
Money: a pretty silver cabriolet with a strong interior, but the cloudy top window is real money and the engine bay is unproven, and the $1 price in the data is a placeholder, not an ask.
