About this car
This 1974 450SLC is offered on eBay by sanfersportscars in Miami, FL. The asking price is $9,900. The car is finished in Silver over Blue, an automatic gearbox, power from a 4.5L V8 engine. The odometer shows 13,013 miles. On an SLC, check the front subframe mounts and the rear side-window seals, which are difficult to replace.
What the photos show
- Silver paint is glossy and straight across the exterior-only gallery, so no respray bill shows from outside
- Paint is bubbling around the 450 SLC badge on the trunk lid, so budget for a local trunk-lid rust repair
- Trunk floor is dirty with surface rust spots showing, so budget for cleaning it out and treating the floor
- Engine bay is complete but fitted with red plug wires and an aftermarket ignition box, so budget for recommissioning and decide whether the modifications stay
- No interior photos appear at all in the gallery, so can't judge the seats, interior or dash
- No underside photos appear in the gallery, so can't judge the underside at all
Money: at $9,900 you are buying a shiny exterior and a complete bay on faith — with no interior or underside evidence, the price has no support until those photos exist
