About this car
This dark green 280SE has its original engine and more than $12,000 in receipts, but it is not currently running. The receipts suggest money was spent in the right places. Find out why it stopped running before you judge the value of the paperwork. The car was previously carried here through an aggregator page; it is now sourced from Beverly Hills Car Club's own listing.
What the photos show
- dark green paint is glossy and straight with clean reflections, no paintwork needed on top
- chrome bumpers and grille are bright and straight, no re-chroming needed
- tan seats and headliner look clean and unworn, no need to reupholster or replace the headliner
- trunk floor is bare with debris and rust staining in the corners and no spare shown, budget a clean-out and rust treatment
- underside on the lift shows heavy rust on the frame rails and jacking areas, that is structural welding money not cosmetics
- dash is not shown in the sampled car photos, can't judge dash cracks or wood from these shots
- engine bay is not shown in the sampled car photos, can't judge engine-bay condition from these shots
Money: at $6,950 sold, the glossy top side supports the price but the rusty frame rails underneath are the real cost — pretty paint over a rust bill the buyer still owns.
