What the photos show
- this gallery is photo-for-photo identical to the blue 450SL in the neighbouring listing, same car, same New Jersey historic plate and same VIN plate, so every observation duplicates that car
- blue paint is glossy and even with straight panels, no paintwork needed
- chrome bumpers and trim are bright, no re-chroming needed
- blue seats and door cards look clean and unworn, no need to reupholster
- dash top looks smooth and uncracked, though a modern touchscreen head unit replaces the original radio, budget for an original radio if originality matters
- hardtop headliner is torn in one close-up, budget a headliner repair on the hardtop
- soft top canvas is never shown raised in the sampled photos, can't judge the soft top itself
- underside shows a rusty exhaust and dirty coated floors with no holes visible, budget an exhaust before any floor work
Money: at $4,859 recorded sold, this is the same physical car as the $5,500 listing beside it — one car with two sold prices on file, so neither figure can be trusted until the duplicate is resolved.
