What the photos show
- light blue paint is glossy and even with matching hubcaps, no repaint bill visible
- chrome bumpers and Euro headlight surrounds are bright, no rechrome bill showing
- blue cloth and vinyl seats look excellent with no sag or tears, no reupholster bill needed
- dash wood is glossy and the vents and switches look complete, no dash bill visible, though the lower vent is dusty and wants a clean
- door jamb close-up shows light surface rust and grime at the hinges, a small rust-treatment bill, not a panel bill
- underside floors look coated and solid with surface rust only on the exhaust pipes, no floor repair bill showing
- engine bay is only seen in an old appraisal scan and looks complete and tidy, no current engine bill can be priced from it
- trunk is clean with a full-size spare fitted, no trunk repair bill visible
Money: at $19,091 sold, the glossy paint, excellent seats and solid-looking underside support the money well for a W108, with only small jamb rust to budget - though the paperwork photos call the car a 280SEL and one invoice even says 1969, which does not match the 1971 280SE title
